I received a 3D printer for Christmas from my father in 2022. It’s the Ender-3 Pro! I have heard from many friends that this was a good 3D printer for its low cost.
I had some issues leveling the print bed because the printhead was too high. Apparently this has been an issue for others as well, where the z-stopper was designed with a little notch to sit on top of the t-slot extrusion. However, my printer’s bed does not come high enough to reach the print head. I lowered the z-stopper, as seen in the image above, so that the notch awkwardly sits next to the t-slot extrusion. So far this has fixed my issue, and I was able to level the bed.

For my first print, I chose to do the 3DBenchy Boat from Thingiverse. The design of the model does a great job of testing overhang, and is a quick print to see if the temperature and nozzle height are right. I got to use this print to calibrate a couple of different 3D printers when I worked as a Student 3D Printer Operator. The print turned out really well! I think all my print settings are good. The print has a seam that runs along the Z axis, but I know this formed because I didn’t choose for the starting place for each layer to be random.
