I cross stitched this Bulbasaur in 2021 for my dearest cousin’s birthday. I am fairly proud of this gift because it was one of the first times where I wasn’t using a prepackaged kit that came with all of the thread I needed. I found some pixel art of the Pokemon and picked out colors that looked similar. I didn’t use any references for the lettering or the leaves on the sides. I mostly added the leaves because I thought the space looked empty and it kind of references Bulbasaur’s move “Vine Whip”.
